| 1. GEOTHERMAL WELLS |
It can be said the history of development
and culture of mankind is as that of energy
resource development. Today, most of the
energy resources depend on limited resources
of petroleum and atomic energy. But, for
the future prosperity of mankind, we must
avail of unlimited natural energy resources
such as solar energy, geothermal energy and
so on.
Geothermal energy is not a carbon dioxide
(CO2) emitting energy, that is less influential
energy to global warming.
We have been drilling exploratory wells,
production and injection wells for geothermal
plants since the startup of our company throughout
cumulating the case histories on more than
40 locations all over Japan, which should
indicate we are the leading company in this
industry.

GEOTHERMAL WELL DRILLING
Possessing the rig capable for 1,000m upto
4,500m, we can drill any and all geothermal
wells. So far, we have been successful in
drilling and completing geothermal wells
which are deeper than 3,000m. Although we
have drilled so many wells of which bottomhole
temperature exceeds 300 degrees Centigrade.

DIRECTIONAL DRILLING
It is a technology that can
drill to the
aimed target point by controlling
direction
and inclination of the well trace.
Thus,
the use of this technology will
save development
costs and reduce influences on
surface environment
by drilling many wells of different
directions
from a drill site.

AERATED-MUD DRILLING
The advantage of this method is to reduce
the influence over production and injection
zones of geothermal wells, as it uses drilling
mud of which apparent specific gravity is
made low by aerating, that leads to prevent
lost circulation at low pressure formations.

We perform completion works of geothermal
production and injection wells, production
instructions, production test, injection
tests, well management, water stimulation
works, etc.

Side-tracking job

WELL SERVICE
The works include all types of workover,
removal and repair jobs of casing pipes which
were worn, corroded, cut broken and crushed,
side-trackings, running-in or changeover
of chemical injection pipes and abandonment
jobs.

In addition to underground
development
wells for natural gas and hot
springs, we
drill various experimental wells
such as
earthquake observation wells,
CO2 underground
storage experimental wells, scientific
wells.
Proposals for specifications
and drilling
programs of those wells are also
our line
of business.

OIL & NATURAL GAS WELL DRILLING
Natural gas is clean energy with less CO2
emissions. In Japan, there produce structural
trap natural gas in Hokkaido, Akita and Niigata,
and water saturated natural gas in Niigata,
Chiba and Miyazaki. We are drilling natural
gas wells in Niigata and Chiba for developments
by TOC.

CARBON DIOXIDE UNDERGROUND STORAGE WELL DRILLING
For protection of global warming, a verification
experiment to store carbon dioxide underground
has been on-going. The casing program of
the exploratory well adopts special completion
to observe injection and migration of carbon
dioxide underground.

SCIENTIFIC WELL DRILLING
We have performed Scientific Drilling Project
at Unzen Fugendake volcano to the depth of
1,995.75m from September 2003 to July 2,
2004.
