CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
BUILDING OF EVERLASTING FOUNDATIONS BASED ON RESPECTIVE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION
In Japan where many earthquakes occur, foundation works play the vital role for every construction work. It is expected demands for foundation works will increase more and more for the future, which should call for highly improved drilling technology with much accuracy.
Utilizing excellent technology cumulated on oil field and geothermal wells, we are handling drilling jobs in all corners of foundation works, underground diaphragm walls, vertical shafts, pilot holes, drainage galleries, etc.
We hold the following civil engineering works which set the records of Japan:
   - Drilling of a 4.4m diameter hole through hard stones
   - Drilling of a 6.1m diameter hole through soft soils in Yokohama
   - Drilling of a water well of 1m diameter x 176m deep
   - Drilling of an 1.7m I.D. x 113m deep vertical shaft using Multi-Path Method

4.4m hole Bit (hard stones)

6.1m hole Bit (soft soils)

Multi-Path Method

1. STEADY TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS AND UNIQUE NEW TECHNOLOGY
Since the establishment of our company, we have been striving for development of drilling technology for foundation piles in order to cope with large scale civil construction works in Japan and abroad. As a result, we could complete Honshu-Shikoku Long-Span Bridge Project, National Crude Oil Stock Pilling Project and Tokyo Bay Transverse Highway Project. We will keep on our efforts to participate in specialized project such as Large Diameter Drillings, Over-Lapping Method and underground Diaphragm Walls.
OVERLAP METHOD

It is, at first, to drill full cross section for piles with high vertical accuracy at certain intervals, then drill remaining lapped sections using TDC own developed O.L bits for formation of underground diaphragm walls and gradings of seabed base rocks. This technology is also useful for drillings at hard stone steep slopes with high vertical accuracy.
LARGE DIAMETER BATTER PILING TECHNOLOGY

It is our company's patent to form high precision battered piles by mean of non-weight drill collar which utilizes floating force by Reverse Circulation Drilling Technology.
We connect non-weight drill collar having sealed in outer pipe right above the bit for the sake of generating floating force to prevent the angle loosening of the bore.
We have completed Kami Goto, Shiroshima and many other berth foundation piling works for National Crude Oil Sotckpilings by this patented technology.
2. CIVIL FOUNDATION WORKS & COMPLETED JOBS
Having been paid hot attentions to the development projects ashore know as Water Front, the vital technic for the development is drilling practices in the sea. We have splendid knowhows and results on seabed and riverbed drillings for underwater coffering works, seabed diaphragm walls, seabed buried anchors and underwater foundation of bridges.
In Japan, Multi-Column Method Work for Onaruto Bridge of Honshu-Shikoku Long-Span Bridges, foundation work for Kami Goto National Crude Oil Stockpiling, Water Intake Shaft work of Hokkaido Shiriuchi Thermal Power Station are the dominant works we have completed.
In overseas countries, we have completed hard stone drilling works for an Offshore Building and Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong and many soft stone drilling foundation works as for Pakse Bridge in Lao, Mekong Bridge in Cambodia, New KB Bridge in Parao, Rupsa Bridge in Bangladesh.
